Cigarette Butts is an independently-produced sketch-comedy  television   series from Rochester, New York.    It is the brain child of award-winning comedic   writer and director Shawn M. Beechner, along with award-winning comedian, writer and director Kara Maillie.  Since it's inception in 2023 the show has been working with some of the best talent between Rochester and Los Angeles to   assemble a show appropriately described as "SNL on speed".   As of winter 2025, filming of episode 2 is in production with a tentative release set for  spring 2026
